A Step Beyond Faith Part 2

A relationship that goes far beyond just faith is Love, with a love where you love so much your happiness is only doing what is pleasing to Him. A love so deep you are willing to sacrifice your human will daily (banish) so that you desire to only walk in His will. Mindful of everything you do and leaning and trusting that Jesus will help us daily to live in His will. As said in John 3:30, “He must increase, but I must decrease.” Luke 9:23 “ And He said to all, If any man would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross Daily and follow me.”

Again would Jesus give us instructions if it were impossible for us to attain? For us alone yes, but not if we love him with our everything and put our full trust in Him.

Prayer to step beyond faith.
Jesus help us to step beyond faith into your perfect love. Let your love enter us and reflect back to you. Help our love to grow in strength daily. Let us see the effects of sin and lean on you to always avoid sin. Open our eyes to see as you see. Help us to always share the love you give us with those around us. Amen

Prayer to take my will.
Let my will be banished, my God. Let my whole being revolve and only live in your will. Rain your perfect love down on me, give me the grace to then reflect your perfect love back to you. Let that love explode from this vessel for all the world to see. Please bring me to that place with you in which you created me to be. Amen ?

In writing these things am I saying we will never fail? No, we will fail at times and those times will feel like a knife cutting you through. Because you slipped and did something that was an offense to the one you love. But you see that the thing about our Lord, he knows we are apt to fail sometimes and forgives us. If we ask Him for forgiveness, and through Mother Church go to Reconciliation, you will find the closer you move to him, leaning and depending on Him for everything, the more He will help you. to avoid those temptations. Just remember the times you do fail, it’s not because he wasn’t there. It was because you forgot to look at Him in that moment. You aren’t perfect, Just remember though, he who is in you is perfect and all we need to do is love Him, praise Him, lean on Him and trust Him. If that is done, he said would take care of everything else in our lives. ?

How my yearning grows with each day.
The need to draw closer is more than I can say.
I wish I could put blinders on to see ahead.
My weakness keeps me here instead.
To Him my spirit cries out.
My flesh is still strong so my heart gives a shout.
When I turn to heaven and gaze,
My heart gives to God all the praise.
As I gaze closer I see the tear falling from his face.
All he wants is for me to finish this race.
Now I see what must be done,
To continue to grow by looking only to Him and His Son.

I feel Jesus would reply:

My children, I have heard all your cries, all your wants, your needs, your desires. But what I seldom hear is prayers asking of what I want for you. All I have ever asked is for you to love me with all your being. Ask me for a love so deep. a love that keeps you moving forward towards heaven. Instead you stop because you don’t give me your all. You stop to see and watch the world around you. Then you see that you’ve stopped or turned to the side. You start looking, crying asking why I left you. I never left, you wandered off. I stayed right where you left me, waiting for you to return. I stand always waiting to forgive and waiting for you to love me enough to want to always move forward with me For to get to heaven is a journey. One that I never have intended for you to walk alone.
What makes you hold back from me? Are you afraid to give yourself fully to me? Why must you hold on to the distractions of the world? What is so important in this temporary existence On this earth that holds you back? I say it would be better to pluck your own eye than let it distract you from the Kingdom of Heaven.

So what’s your distraction? What is so important to you that it takes away time that would be better spent with our Lord? Praying, contemplating, reading your bible. All things that are required of us in our path and walk with our Lord.
You use excuses like I just do this to unwind, relax or just want to entertain myself. You know something? If you gave Jesus that time He could do all of that for you as well. You fully give yourself to Him, you get peace, happiness, and you can even get relaxation knowing that in Jesus there is no worries because He’s there to take care of you. And entertainment? Reading? Try the bible with its stories or books of faith and devotions. Reading God's word and other books are our instructions and learning instruments. Am I saying no television? No, just use your time wisely. And keep your eyes always to Jesus.

We have to change our lives and way of thinking about everything. In other words, as the Bible says, we must let the old me totally die, bury our old self and resurrect our new life living in the image of our Lord Jesus. In doing this, along with the love and grace that are given, our lives begin to revolve around our Lord. As our love for Him grows, it gets to where the very thought of offending Him will get you very upset and really hurts you. Your love keeps growing and deepening. You think of God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit all the time. You find that even when you are doing something else, your thoughts still stay on God. In my life, my joy and happiness revolves on pleasing Jesus. Am I saying that I am where I need to be? No, what I am saying, as the love for our Lord grows within us, the wants of the world will just seem to fade away.

You say to yourself that trying to keep your focus on Christ and do the things we have to do (work) in this world are just too hard to do. One, in saying that you are putting a limit on Jesus. Remember all things are possible right? Just this week something was shown to me because I have hard time as well. Pray the ROSARY! It’s not only a powerful prayer, but an example of how we should go through our day. Ok how does the rosary help us to maintain thoughts of Jesus and go about our task during our lives? When we say the rosary, we are talking to God during the Our Father and Glory be right? Well we then read the mystery for that decade we are on and then pray our Hail Mary’s, right? Now what are we supposed to be doing at this point? Praying the Hail Marys and contemplating on the mystery. That’s saying we are doing one thing and concentrating on something different. That’s kind of like doing my work, but still concentrating on our Lord. Two things at one time! Then at different points in your day stop and give God your full attention (The Our Fathers and Glory Be’s).

Well today I was given another lesson. I was driving to work and it’s almost an hour drive for me, so I use the time to meditate and pray. Anyway, I was praying, giving something to God, so to speak, a daily little sacrifice. I kindly told God He could take my body (all of it) and use it as he saw fit. I was offering God my body. Well after I had said this, I heard this in reply; Why do you offer me a gift that you don’t own? I created you, my Son died for you. You don’t own your body I do. The only thing that was given to you at you birth was a choice. You can borrow/use the body I created as you see fit or you can let me use what I own for my own means.
Talk about putting me in my place. I felt smaller than I am (ok figuratively. I know by size I am not small). But It’s true, we don’t own our bodies. We just have them on loan. I immediately retracted my first prayer and started anew. I gave God the praise for the lesson and told Him that since a choice is what I was given, then I freely give that choice back and asked that He take full control of this creature which He created and owns.
