What if?

I have to admit, I'm a sinner. Even after just receiving Sacrament of Reconciliation, I often think about and chide myself for not praying enough, not thinking about God enough, having uncharitable thoughts about others. But recently I had a thought that woke me up even more, what about the thoughts that I have that are charitable, holy, positive, that I put aside as "not having time for right now." Aren't those the inspiration of the Holy Spirit?
I decided I needed to talk to my priest about it, soon.
So during my next Confession, at the end of my Confession I asked Father, "What if I ignore something the Holy Spirit has told me to do? Is that a sin?"
Father sat up, startled. "Yes! It is a sin." Part of my penance was to pray for others at Mass the next day, so they listen to the Holy Spirit when He speaks to them.
I hear a quite a bit about the work of the Holy Spirit in our lives and in the world, but would like to take this opportunity to remind you, "If today you hear His voice, harden not your hearts. Listen, because He speaks to you in ways you don't expect. Then respond positively, because He has gifts of grace for you and wants you to receive them.
