Why Choose Hate?

I think sometimes it's easy to take things for granted. We as Catholic's go to Mass each week. And most probably don't think much of what happens when we receieve Jesus' body and blood. Jesus gave us His own body and blood. He says, "Take and eat, this is my body."
He also gave us life; one life. We were given one life to try each and every day to strive to become as much like Jesus as we can. Yes, we may fail. But it is through grace that we are forgiven, and given another chance to do better. Jesus wants us to spend time with Him. He wants us to receive Him as often as we can. Our goal should be becoming what we recieving. Yes, that's a hard job. But it's why Jesus should be our strength. It's why we are here.
We are here to be the hands, the feet, the mouth, and the heart of Jesus. We are here to reach out to others, to share about Jesus, to spread the Gospel, to pray for our enemies, to forgive as Jesus forgives, to share what others need to hear when they need to hear it, to live life in a way that others know that we know who Jesus is, and to learn about Jesus so that we can be more and more like Him.
Becoming what we recieve is similar to being what we eat. We eat good food so that we can be physically healthy. And we recieve Jesus' body and blood to be spiritually healthy. It is good for us, for our heart, our soul, and our mind. I think more of us need to really think about the importance of receiving the Euchartist, and becoming like Jesus. I think the world needs more of Him. And I think that people need to stop taking such a special gift for granted.
