Death and It's Lessons

Today, I got thinking. What is the future of ministry in the Catholic Church? It seems that less people are filling the pews on Sunday. More and more people are falling away from God, and from the faith. Churches are closing and there are fewer priests.
Is the future of ministry involving people who do not really put their heart into serving our Lord? Does it involve people who do not believe that their fellow Brothers and Sisters in Christ have any value? I hope not. But that is what I see.
I hope the future of ministry brings people to God. I hope the future of ministry fills up the pews on Sundays. I hope the future of ministry involves people like Pope Francis or Mother Teresa who are humble, faithful, and have a desire to serve our Lord. I hope the future of ministry involves accepting everyone, including the mentally ill, those who are not treated like they should, those who are different, and those who are bullied. Jesus Christ accepted everyone, and ministered to everyone, no matter what they were like. And we as ministers should do the same. I hope the future of ministry involves more of God's love, because now people need God more then ever. With more of God, and more of people finding out how good God is, I would like to think that the amount of hate, the amount of bullying, the amount of bringing people down, the amount of choosing violence would go away.
I hope the future of ministry involves the young, because they are the future of the Catholic Church. Of course, that means having an influence on them now. I hope the future of ministry involves people feeling accepted. The Church should be a safe place, one where people feel accepted, welcomed, and wanted. And maybe one reason more and more are leaving the Church has to do with people not feeling accepted, and welcomed. Maybe they feel left out, or different.
I hope there is a good, hopeful, and bright future of ministry in the Catholic Church. I hope more people feel the call to minister to others, because everyone has gifts, and everyone has value. And everyone deserves to know about God's goodness.
