Be a light in your community

A community is a group of people with a common characteristic or interest living together within a larger society. Such communities are found all over the world and in every corner of each country.

As Christians, we also are to belong to a specific community, in other words to a Christian Community. True Christian Communities are when believers worship and serve together in unity based on the teachings of God’s Word. These Christian Communities have a big responsibility that they carry, that is to be a ‘light’ to any other community they belong too.

To be a true Christian is to belong to a Christian Community and in the same time to be a ‘light’ of hope, of love to the people you meet in your daily life.

Being a ‘light’ in your community, is bringing Jesus to others.

I am George Calleja from Malta; I am married and have two children. In 2009, I obtained my MBA through the University of Leicester.

During the years 1990 to 1996, I was a full-time missionary with ‘The International Catholic Programme for Evangelization - ICPE’ and have evangelized in various countries, such as Russia, Ghana, Poland, Germany, and Malta amongst others. Since 1997, I am an active member of the Focolare Movement in Malta.

Since June 2012, I created a website by the name of 'Peace and Unity in our lives', which provides inspiration and encouragement for life, and an opportunity for people around the globe to find courage by trusting God to be more present in their life.

I also am a Christian Author. My first book was Peace and Unity in our lives – Volume One (Nov. 2014). I published my second book (Jan. 2015), Volume Two of Peace and Unity in our lives (now in paperback). My third book ‘Yes… I will follow Him’, published in March 2015. I published a free ebook Evangelization (June 2015) through Social Networking Sites', which is also available in paperback for a minimal price.
