Sins of the heart

The battle is not ours to fight because God has promised that he has already won them for us. But we (as in all of us) still have to walk out onto the battlefield. To endure the fight. When we walk into this battle, we must ever keep moving forward. We may get hurt, we may get wounded, we may fall to our knees. Know that Jesus is still there to encourage you forward. You may think of stopping because you feel you just can’t keep going. Then you hear his voice, “Keep going. Lean on me for strength. I will give what you need to make it through. I will not leave you here alone. I will keep fighting for you, just keep moving forward. I will stand by your side, just keep moving forward.
You see you might hear someone telling you to stop. It’s not worth the pain, it’s not worth the hurt or wounds. Telling you that you are alone. Stop fighting it, that it’s not worth it. That voice is not of God. That voice wants you to lay down and just give up. That voice wants to destroy you. God will always keep you moving forward to him. Never stop walking, crawling or dragging your way forward. Always trusting Christ will give you what you need to keep going, even if sometimes that means moving forward on your knees. He will see you through, always.
Lord,
Give me the courage to do what I must in this battle and to fully trust that you will stand by your word.
