Gifts Are Meant To Be Treasured
Everyone loves gifts. Giving gifts and receiving gifts. Whether it is for a birthday, a wedding, Christmas or whatever the occasion, a gift is a way of knowing that someone loves and cares about you.
There are a couple of basic unwritten rules when it comes to gifts. One is that the gift should not be opened or used until a specific date and time, such as Christmas, or a birthday or wedding day. Another basic rule is that the gift should only be used for its intended purpose and not be misused or abused. If you break either or both rules, you are not showing the proper respect for the gift and for the person who gave you the gift.
One of the greatest gifts that a person can share with another is the gift of human sexuality. But like all other gifts, the same basic rules apply. By waiting until they are married, a husband and wife will fully enjoy the gift without any regret of having “opened” it beforehand. Likewise, by using this great gift for the purposes it was designed for – to unify the husband and wife as a couple and to be open to the possibility of children, they will be showing respect for the gift and most importantly, true love and caring for each other.
