Love: Where I Can Stand Up (Poem)

Maybe, we are all wondering sometimes, "When was the last time that I thanked the Lord without asking anything of Him?" Sometimes, it appears we may even seem to have blackmailed Him, asking things from Him before we served Him. We asked for signs and still doubt Him. Or we may have simply never believed in Him or any Higher Power. But those are not reasons why God doesn't love us. Even when we don't serve Him, He still pours blessings and graces out to us. We don't need to love God before He loves us. He is omnificent. On this, I just wanted to tell everyone that God simply loves us. We don't need to fight for our beliefs and unbelief, we just need to respect each other and accept our differences. I think God wanted us to unite through respect and sharing and love.
When I attended the Mass last Sunday, I heard the John 3:16 verse, one of my favorite verses in the Bible.
16 “For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him may not perish but may have eternal life."
That's the ultimate expression of love, "giving".
I think even some people who don't believe in God, still know what love is. And the proof of love is "giving" and "respecting", without expecting anything in return, in short the word "give". God gave us the free will to believe, and that is a decision for us to make. Indeed, He loves us so much that He even gave his only Son, who redeemed us from our sins, such as our immoral acts, disobedience, disbelief, and disrespectfulness. He claimed us. He loves us on His terms, as Mighty and ever glorified God. God is love and His love is forever. God is loving us and waiting for all of us with open arms to love Him and others.
