That’s an interesting question isn’t it? I saw it in a book recently and it made me think about what message I was sending with my life.
Then it made me think about another line I heard recently: Permanent decisions are made from thousands of little decisions along the way.
I am someone who deeply struggles with the big questions of life, especially the vocational questions like what state of life I should choose and what career I should have. I seem to always get stuck in what I should do.
But upon reflection, I have made thousands of small decisions along the way in terms of what I do with my time, my lifestyle choices, what I give to others, my career, my relationships, and so on.
What’s it all pointing to? What’s it all revealing?
Hopefully the message of our lives is something of the Gospel -- something that points to Christ and the power of conversion.
Hopefully the small decisions of our lives made each day are pointing to the bigger decision of following Christ more closely.
We all are sending a message with our lives. Hopefully it’s God’s message.
