WHO ME? Yes, YOU!!

Just as we are, we come. Sometimes we may think we are not good enough. We have lived lives that have left us angry and confused; resentful and disgusted with God too. Sometimes when we live with one who has been walking with God since a young age, and has been seeking and learning from the Holy Spirit ---the others who know them, will feel deeply inadequate and resentful too. They desire to be like that person, jealous of their ability or their gifts, and resentful that they do not know peace and joy. But each person must realize that just like I am ---I am awesome!! No matter how you were shaped and formed, no matter your life story---JUST as you are ---you are AWESOME!!

You are you. And God wants you to be the vessel He created YOU to be. To use your life, your stories, your experiences that only you can share with another. ONLY YOU can be the specific, one of a kind GIFT that no other can be.

When a person feels inadequate, insecure in their abilities, lost, useless, disabled by physical and emotional problems---that person does not see themselves as someone who can go and share 'the good news.' Mainly because we think that spreading the 'Good News' is to preach the Gospel. But the "Good News" is YOU!

You are a marvelous creation, carefully molded and shaped and slowly maturing in wisdom and grace. You are like a seed that takes time to be broken open, push through the dirt of life, and eventually becomes that strong tree with branches/arms spread out wide!! You will take in and comfort and provide life for all that are around you and come to you.

First, we share LOVE, loving as Jesus loved us. Then we share understanding and compassion and our stories. We tell others: "yes, I know how it feels, how tough life can be, but all passes and there is hope." Then we can share why there is hope, how we found the Light at the end of the tunnel, or the Light that shines in the darkest night. We can share how GOD is with us always--no matter what--He is there!! We can share how we found this to be truth-- by how we experienced His Presence and His help when we hungered for answers, sought Him, found Him--just like He promised!! How in the unexpected---He rescued us in oh those "mysterious Ways of His." When we experiece this God of Love we cannot help but share this love!!

IN every element, in every event, in all the people who come, in all of creation---we will find the Presence of God when we walk with eyes wide open, and expecting to find----all that is good, all that is God in all of our life. ALL of our life!!! This is why we are told to 'Give thanks in all things, rejoice always, and pray without ceasing ---for this is the WILL of the FATHER for YOU. For your life to be complete, God's plan fulfilled in you---GIVE THANKS in ALL things. For without any of your life's experiences---YOU WOULD NOT BE YOU, and that person is AWESOME!! Know this to be true---when we reject, hate, and try to deny any part of our life---we are essentially trying to tear ourselves apart and be less of the person we are, the gift we are. You must be who YOU are the whole You ---and not peices parts, scattered and broken. Become whole by the power of the LOVE that is within you. Let healing come with understanding and forgiveness. What a GIFT YOU are, YES: the person YOU are!

Born the youngest of nine children, raised VERY Catholic across the street from Immaculate Heart of Mary church and school—Mom and Dad led by example and word their FAITH in God and saw to it that I was given 12 years of Catholic Education. (Mount St. Mary’s Academy/1965)

But, most importantly, because of my parents’ spiritual renewal after attending Cursillo Weekends, I too went on a retreat at our beloved Subiaco Abbey in Arkansas and there, at age 20, gave my life totally, surrendering all to my Lord and best Friend. This was my “Pentecostal” event that left me, like all the early Christians, on fire with God’s love and forever changed.

My husband Robert and I have been married for 54 this year in a marriage arranged by God. We have 8 children, two in heaven, 24 grandchildren, and 28 great-grandchildren. The story of our life together can be found in a book titled “My Journey, My Cross-As the Journals End,” published by Westbow Press . Our life together has been one awesome up and down roller coaster ride which enriched my heart with so many of the gifts of the Holy Spirit. I have found that the only way, Wisdom, Understanding, Words of Knowledge, Discernment, and Healing can be received is first by experiencing in your life the hurts of others. (and you yourself a sword will pierce)^* so that the thoughts of many hearts may be revealed.” Luke 2 v 35.

God has blessed me also many other talents and skills--but sometimes, blessings/gifts can and have caused problems or conflict in my life, as I am human and all too quickly that part of me shows up. Thank You God that You also show up!
