Viewer Discretion: Part 2

A priest once said that when we sin we in turn make Jesus cry. (This is the same Jesus today that once died a horrifically violent death for us.)
I hear it all the time….especially on talk radio shows, popular entertainment venues and on the street: “If my actions don’t affect you personally, then you shouldn’t be concerned about what I do.”
You may be right. We could argue the merit of that logic one way or the other. But if we accept it at face value to be true, then the next logical step would be to ask oneself:
“Even though my actions don’t affect others, do I truly want to make Jesus cry? The same One that was scourged and crucified for me? Do I truly want to add to His pain and suffering by my actions?”
That, my friends, is a question only you can answer. It’s your free will and I can’t impose my belief system on you. But it certainly something to ponder. Are your actions truly only affecting you?
…or are they making Jesus cry?
