GOT (GAME OF THRONES) OR GOD

HAVEN’T ENJOYED TOO MUCH SERIES

I have a while in the path to our Lord.

Since I have met him, my tv time has reduced more and more each year.

This year I have been busy in some works, not too paying attention to trends, but I knew something was happening with Netflix, and people watching the series available. So, without looking for it too much, there was a first time with this experience.

I watched some selected movies, and they were okay, I don’t remember actually the names, and it doesn’t matter too much; because, despite enjoying  the plot, I think not watching some other things was the provident hand of God protecting us as a good father, Abba.

Then I watched “Black Mirror”, wow!!, this was crazy, definitely was disturbing as the plot added some sex escenes, it makes you think about the future of humanity with tech, yeah, interesting, but those sex parts are avoidable. In fact, when that kind of sex scenes appear, I set the remote forward and closed my eyes.

I tried watching some of “The House of F,owers” “Orange is the New Black” “Cable Girls”, “Thirteen reasons why”; in YoutubeOriginals with “Wayne” “Weird City”; and then watched no more….I concluded in a low voice “there are better things to do, and for my soul. God needs better of me”

Right now, again  watching tv is trendy with  “Game of Thrones 8th Season ”, I have never been attracted to this series, and those series marathons I listened people do. But I didn’t want to stay with the doubt, so I googled it first….and Ualá!. Game of Thrones is charecterized as other series too, for a lot of sex content, 70 sex scenes; prostitution, incest, rape, nudes, bondage, threesomes, sex between women, orgies, …..etc…and a lot of violent content. So, how could I ever watch this series? Avoiding it is a good deal for my soul.

Instead of watching tv, we should “watch” each other more in the eyes, the soul, the trivial, deep and funny conversations that we are missing even more and more each day.

Last comment: I have thought that not having a tv isn’t bad, in this time, actually it is pretty much a blessing. Don’t you think?
