Blessed to be here

   Yes, we are all blessed to be here, as in blessed to be alive.  We have a Creator that loved us enough to create us and He showed that love by dying for us.  But this is not what I mean.  You and I are blessed to be in our present moment.  Wherever you are, whether it be home, work, or otherwise.  In this present moment, you have so many possibilities.

   God setup this moment, though not without having to deal with our sins and others trying to ruin this moment.  In this moment, you have the ability to choose your direction forward.  We do not get to change our past that has given us our current situation, but we have the current moment to choose our first steps toward the unknown future.

   Obviously, we do not have full control of our future.  We live in a world with countless other souls.  But in the current moment, we are given the opportunity to love and the opportunity to hate.  The moment you get cutoff while driving is an opportunity.  Choose love and your future will be more filled with love.  Choose hate and you will bring that into your future.

   God gave you this moment, because he wants the world to see love from you.  Is it difficult?  Yes.  But if we choose not to love, we make our future and everyone else’s future darker.  Love is the light of the world.  Without it, … I shudder to think of such a world.  Use this moment to love, for by it, we bring light to a world in desperate need of it.

   Jesus, You choose love and died on the Cross because of it.  Help us to choose love and grant us an inner joy when choosing love causes us suffering.
